CAIR-CAN Rep on CTV’s National Affairs on Canadian Muslims’ Statement on Domestic Violence

CAIR-CAN Rep on CTV’s National Affairs on Canadian Muslims’ Statement on Domestic Violence

Excellent statements made. All these examples are so true. Of course the examples stated are the extreme ones but this happens on smaller scales in most households. In the misconceived notion of Islam and in many cultures, the men are excused for their unwarranted behavior towards women; especially their partners. In Islam, men are not supposed to act violently and aggressively toward their wives, mothers, sisters or daughters. And being abusive doesn’t mean that the women have to be physically hit…bullying, verbally insulting and intimidation are all acts of abuse. This should be explained clearly to all societies in public forums: mosques, churches, community centers..etc.
And there are absolutely no excuses that should free the men from their actions. Being drunk, stressed, tired…etc. are not valid excuses to behave improperly!

This design is spectacular! You obviously know how to keep a reader
entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was
almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost.
..HaHa!) Fantastic job. I really loved what you had
to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!
